Federal investigators say former CIA officer David J. Rush accumulated more than $40 million in gold bars, millions of dollars in cash and dozens of luxury watches while allegedly deceiving colleagues, falsifying credentials and exploiting the secrecy of the U.S. intelligence system. The case first appeared to be a government-theft investigation under 18 U.S.C. § 641. Court filings and subsequent reporting now suggest investigators believe Rush may have created a fictitious classified program inside the national security bureaucracy and used it to obtain vast quantities of government funds and precious metals. Rush, a former CIA official who reportedly worked for…

Toyota is finally bringing electric vehicles to market, but that doesn’t mean the company has given up on alternatives. CarBuzz has just found a patent that shows Toyota is tripling down on hydrogen. Triple down? That’s right – the Japanese automaker has tried hydrogen fuel cells, and it has tried hydrogen-burning piston engines. Now, say hello to the hydrogen gas turbine. Turbine? Like, a jet turbine? Not a jet, but similar. Gas turbine engines are common in helicopters, airplanes, and in ships like naval vessels where power is more important than fuel economy. It spins like a jet, but you…
When I was growing up in rural Texas, it wasn’t a question of whether you would eventually collide with a deer while driving. It was more like an inevitability. That’s evidently true for many Americans, who experience between 1 and 2 million crashes with large animals every year. But unlike my colleagues in Colorado and Montana, I’ve only had deer to worry about. They have to worry about an animal 10 times heavier: the moose. These 6-foot-tall giants can weigh up to 1,500 pounds and will absolutely destroy a vehicle in a head-on collision. They pose an even greater threat…
The Second Amendment remains the only right that basically ends at the border of the state where you live. Once you cross the state line, it’s up to politicians in the other 49 states (as well as U.S. territories and the District of Columbia) to decide if they’ll recognize your right to carry. President Donald Trump, however, wants to change that, as he made clear on Tuesday at a speech in Pennsylvania. JUST IN: President Trump reveals his administration is working on NATIONAL RIGHT TO CARRYThis would be an absolutely HUGE step towards bringing back the…
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump said Tuesday that six people have been arrested for damaging the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, as the iconic Washington, D.C. site increasingly becomes a flashpoint over the president’s $14-million-plus rehabilitation project gone awry. In a social media post, Trump claimed without supporting evidence that there had been a “350 foot gash” in the paint as the administration faces a self-imposed deadline to fix the botched renovation before the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration next week. Trump said another seven people were cited for damaging the pool. “It was purposefully and criminally done, and somebody had…

We’ve chronicled many times in the past the gun-rights community’s love-hate relationship with the Trump Administration concerning the Second Amendment. President Donald Trump came into office vowing to protect the right to keep and bear arms, and in many ways, he has done so. However, his Department of Justice has been somewhat schizophrenic on the matter, often supporting Biden-era infringements instead of working to overturn them. In a positive move, the DOJ is now backing out of the fight over the Biden-era final rule that redefined who is “engaged in the business” of selling firearms. According to the gun-rights group…
On a gym floor in Los Angeles, a group of veterans stood in a circle, exhausted from a workout, unsure what to expect next. There was no therapist. No formal program. No script. Then someone started talking. When Military.com sat down with Nate Boyer, he described how it all began.“That first time… we just worked out, grabbed tacos, and naturally started opening up,” he said. What began as an informal gathering would become Merging Vets & Players (MVP), a growing national movement built on a simple idea: when the uniform comes off, what people lose most isn’t structure, it’s the team.A Different Narrative About…
I’ve written a lot about Patrick “Tate” Adamiak, a former Navy sailor who, rather than going to BUDS as he planned, is instead rotting in prison for 20 years over what sure as hell looks like bogus, trumped-up charges that never should have been allowed to stand. Lee Williams, with the Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project, has done amazing work outlining not just the charges but why they were wrong. Unfortunately, Adamiak isn’t having a lot of luck getting this fixed. As it stands, his case is up for consideration before the Supreme Court, with…
Images by the author Holstra. This is a company name that may not ring many bells with shooters, but the Cape Coral, Florida-based company is changing that. Holsra is making a name for itself among shooters by focusing on one main product… a holster that works for appendix or behind-the-back carry, with adjustable cant, ride height, and dual clips… all for under forty dollars. Many models are under thirty. That says a lot in today’s market. I asked a company representative to provide a bit of background information about the company, as there isn’t much online, and this is what…
This article was originally published by Hamoon Soleimani at The Mises Institute. Autonomous AI agents are becoming active economic participants on both sides of market transactions. Enterprise platforms now embed what vendors call “touchless operations,” with agents executing procurement decisions without human review. Blockchain networks let AI agents hold wallets, settle payments, and rebalance portfolios autonomously. Microsoft Research has already documented two-sided “agentic markets” where both buyers and sellers are AI proxies. The standard commentary praises the speed and consistency of it all. That praise is correct, and it misses something catastrophic: when both parties to a transaction are algorithms optimizing against pre-specified utility functions, the…
When it brought back the Maverick, Ford did more than just restore a name from decades back. It also brought back a level of choice that we haven’t seen in decades. From eco-friendly commuter to off-roader to sport compact, the Maverick can do it all. But can it really do it all, or did Ford just add some new stickers and call it a day? We drove four different versions of the truck to find out. Marketing Differences or Real Differences? The Ford Maverick comes in four models; the XL/XLT pair is the most basic, differing mostly in trim options.…
The importance of the Second Amendment is made clear throughout the world if you only care to look. From horrific crime in the third-world to Europeans’ assault on free speech, the evidence isn’t hard to find. Over at our sister site, Townhall, my colleague Kurt Schlichter notes another example.See, we kicked the crap out of Iran for a while, then tried to get them to play nice for a little while, but there’s a pro-gun lesson in there that no one should ignore, according to Schlichter. It’s remarkable how the real world always illustrates the Founders’…
Hikers and runners face many of the same risks when venturing into the wilderness, but according to new research, their levels of preparedness differ vastly. A study published in Wilderness & Environmental Medicine in March 2026 surveyed over 1,000 trailgoers. It assessed their experience, gear, and preparation levels to compare how these groups approach outdoor recreation. The results were surprising in more ways than one. “The vast majority of these groups thought they were adequately prepared,” John Lambert, the study’s lead author, told GearJunkie. “But both groups vastly overestimated their level of preparedness.” John Lambert on the trail in RMNP…
United States President Donald Trump is lashing out at NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) for being “useless” to him during the war with Iran. Trump said he doesn’t need NATO’s assistance in the Strait of Hormuz, and added that the military bloc was “useless when needed” during the war with Iran. On Friday afternoon, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that the key oil and gas freight corridor was “completely open” for all commercial vessels for the remainder of the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire, which is set to end next week. U.S. Begins Blockade of Strait of Hormuz Just an hour later, Trump took to Truth…
