The United Heroes League, a national 501(c)(3) non-profit that supports military families and their children year-round, is this year’s recipient of the National Hockey League’s ‘Stick Tap for Service’ honor. The NHL, in partnership with Navy Federal Credit Union, is honoring the non-profit for its impact on military families by providing $12 million in free sports equipment, game tickets, cash grants, skill development camps, and special experiences across the US & Canada. “UHL has made an extraordinary difference for military families and their children nationwide, giving them the chance to participate in the sports they’re passionate about—especially hockey,” said Joe…

We’ve logged some shut-eye in hundreds of shelters, heavily tested the most promising, and winnowed down our gear rooms to the 11 best-of-the-best camping tents out there today. In 2026 alone, I, guide manager Nick Belcaster, have taken out six new shelters across the Pacific Northwest on more than a month of overnights. Some tents are wilder nests that thrive in a more backcountry-adjacent use, like the Kelty Discovery Basecamp, while others, like my top pick, the REI Co-op Base Camp 6, are downright frontcountry palatial. I’ve also found having a real gear garage like the The North Face Wawona…
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon said Friday that it has reached deals with seven tech companies to use their artificial intelligence in its classified computer networks, allowing the military to tap into AI-powered capabilities to help it fight wars. Google, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Nvidia, OpenAI, Reflection and SpaceX will provide their resources to help “augment warfighter decision-making in complex operational environments,” the Defense Department said. Notably absent from the list is AI company Anthropic, after its public dispute and legal fight with the Trump administration over the ethics and safety of AI usage in war. The Defense Department has…

Despite a growing trend of transgender mass shooters over the past few years, the so-called “mainstream media” continues to ignore the facts. In fact, they won’t publish or air any stories that are negative toward transgender individuals. At the other end of the spectrum are those claiming that “nearly all” recent mass murders have been committed by transgender people. That’s not true, and can be just as damaging as ignoring the facts. Thankfully, researcher John Lott from the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) has crunched the numbers. And a recent report posted at the CRPC website tells the true story.…
In the early days of the nation, before it was really even a country, much of our nation’s naval power was in the form of privateers. These men received letters of marque that authorized them to raid British shipping and to profit from it. In essence, it was piracy with permission, and it’s kind of glorious. The Constitution authorized Congress to issue letters of marque and reprisal, though they haven’t done it for ages now. While Lincoln was authorized to use them during the Civil War, the last use seems to have been around 1815.Now,…
If there’s one certainty in the firearms world, it’s that every new Glock generation causes an absolute uproar both in general firearms discussion and, more importantly, through the accessory market. That’s certainly true with the newly released Gen 6 pistols, and FALCO Holsters has moved fast to keep pace in our turbulent market. Known for its blend of Falconry-derived artisan craftsmanship and modern materials, the Slovak-based company has officially expanded support for Glock’s newest handguns, according to its latest press release. FALCO® Holsters announces expanded holster compatibility to support the latest Glock Generation 6 handguns… Customers can select from holsters…
Every state legislature operates with some rules in place, though they can vary wildly from state to state. One of the more common rules is a crossover deadline; if legislation fails to advance out of its house of origin by a specific date (generally the midpoint of the legislative session), it cannot move forward. That was the case with a gun control bill in Washington State… at least until anti-2A Democrats decided to suspend the rules this week in order to keep a gun control bill alive. As NRA-ILA reports:On Tuesday night, the Washington legislature…
I got a kind of exciting email earlier today from Keltec announcing the new KP50 and MP50 5.7x28mm pistol and subgun. I immediately recognized it because I had a chance to shoot the Stuff & Things ST50 at GunCon last year. The ST50 was pretty awesome. It was a new chassis for the KelTec P50 with much better ergonomics. I know KelTec has shown the ST50 on their social media before, and I thought it was awesome that they were working with the S&T guys. Until I found out that they weren’t. Keltec KP50 Defender What is the KP50? Well,…
This article was originally published by Tyler Durden at ZeroHedge. A week after Bill Gates abruptly pulled out as a keynote speaker at a high-profile global AI summit in India, the left-wing billionaire finally mustered enough nerve to “take responsibility for his actions” over his ties to late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during a town hall meeting with Gates Foundation employees. The Wall Street Journal reports that Gates told employees at a town hall event for the foundation on Tuesday that he never spent time with Epstein’s victims, and never visited Epstein’s island. He revealed that Epstein later learned about two…
Short-barreled rifles have been unfairly demonized as being particularly dangerous. Why? Because the National Firearms Act regulated them just the same as a machine gun. For many, that’s enough. Never mind that they were on the list because handguns were originally on there, too, and lawmakers figured some would use short-barreled rifles as a replacement. When handguns were removed from the bill, no one bothered to remove short-barreled long guns. That’s it. It’s on the NFA list because of an oversight. Not that an anti-gun state like New Jersey cares about such historical facts. They’ve banned…
