While many anti-2A groups are trimming their sails and tweaking their sales pitches to convince gun owners that they too can support gun control measures, March For Our Lives is keeping it old-school. The group has come out in favor of the Trump administration’s position on “unlawful” drug users and gun ownership; a bold move given that cannabis use among the young adults that MFOL sees as its base of support is at an all time high (no pun intended). Firearms Policy Coalition’s Rob Romano flagged the fundraising email from the group over the weekend. You’d think…
From my experience, a lot of the Westerners I know who have immigrated to the United States are very pro-freedom. They came to the United States because they wanted what the United States stands for. They left their homes in England, Portugal, Australia, the Soviet Union (that’s where they left, not “Russia” as it is today), and other places because they didn’t necessarily have it there. But a lot of people come into this country from other places, and they’re not really all that interested in embracing America as it is. They want to change…
BELLEVUE, WA – American gun owners got quite a chuckle nine months ago when California Gov. Gavin Newsom was gifted a Sig Sauer P365-Xmacro pistol while appearing on podcaster Shawn Ryan’s Tennessee-based program. And their amusement is continuing as media reports note the far-left Democrat still can’t get his pistol because of Golden State gun control laws. The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms says it is “only justice” that Newsom—who has lobbied for and signed virtually every gun control law landing on his desk—cannot take possession of the firearm because of legislation he and his…
The Chicago Transit Authority is rolling out a new security plan as crime on the public transportation system has reached levels not seen in decades, and as the Supreme Court is set to consider granting cert to a case challenging the ban on lawful concealed carry imposed by Illinois law and CTA policy. The move also comes as the Trump administration has threated to yank tens of millions of dollars in funding to the CTA unless it upgraded its security. While the move may satisfy the Federal Transit Administration, it also underscores the reality of…
Sen. Elizabeth Warren and several Democratic lawmakers are once again taking aim at the civilian firearms market with legislation that would bar defense contractors and military-owned plants from selling certain firearms and ammunition to the public. The proposal, called the Stop Militarizing Our Streets Act, was reintroduced in the Senate by Warren and Andy Kim and in the House by Robert Garcia and Jamie Raskin. The bill would prohibit Department of Defense contractors and military-owned manufacturing plants from selling what sponsors describe as “military-grade assault weapons and ammunition” into the civilian market. Elizabeth Warren: “Here we are well into the…
Some United States lawmakers are concerned that ruler Donald Trump could be ready to put boots on the ground in Iran. That would, obviously, mean that this war is going to expand and cause a lot of pain and destruction before it’s all over. While speaking after a closed-door briefing with members of the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, Senator Richard Blumenthal said the administration appears to be moving toward the possibility of sending U.S. forces into Iran. The comments at the classified briefings with administration officials left some democrat senators with what they described as significant unanswered questions…
A group of masked suspects learned the hard way that breaking into an occupied home can go very wrong. Police in Darien, Connecticut are investigating a home invasion attempt that ended with a homeowner opening fire on three intruders early in the morning, according to reporting from WFSB. The incident happened around 6:00 a.m. on Five Mile River Road, when police received a call reporting a burglary in progress. According to investigators, the homeowner told police that three masked suspects were attempting to break into the residence. At least one of the intruders was reportedly armed. When the suspects forced…
West Milford, N.J., recently became the 18th city in the state to vote to refund all or part of the fees required to obtain a carry permit in the Garden State. The move was in response to a plan formulated by the National Rifle Association (NRA), the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) and the New Jersey Firearm Owners Syndicate (NJFOS) to persuade municipalities in the state to voluntarily drop the excessively high fees imposed by the state for concealed-carry permits. A New Jersey statute requires permit holders to renew their permits every two years…
For the second year in a row, Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon has vetoed legislation aimed at preventing law enforcement from enforcing federal gun laws. Gordon’s veto was hardly unexpected, given that last week he called the proposed amendments to the state’s Second Amendment Protection Act an “embarrassment” and described it as fundraising disguised as legislation. Gordon, who vetoed a similar bill last year, cast it as an affront to local law enforcement during the radio show.“So, when you have 23 sheriffs come in and say, ‘This Second Amendment protection act does nothing more than what…
Virginia gun owners just got some bad news. According to a late-night update from Washington Gun Law’s William Kirk, Virginia lawmakers have passed Senate Bill 749, sending a sweeping new gun control measure to the governor’s desk, where it’s widely expected to be signed into law. And once that happens, the countdown begins. Under the legislation, the law will take effect July 1, 2026, giving gun owners just a short window before major restrictions hit the state’s firearm market. The bill targets what the state defines as “assault firearms,” banning the commercial sale, transfer, or offering for sale of those…
This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog under the title: The Largest Supply Disruption In History Has Made The Price Of Oil The Most Important Economic Number In The World At This Moment What a wild week it has been already. On Sunday night, I watched as the price of oil hit $116 a barrel. It was insane. Financial markets started to panic all over the world because investors know that if the price of oil stays above $100 a barrel for an extended period of time, it will absolutely crush the global economy.…
“When the new ProMaster City arrives at dealerships early next year, it will be the only mid-size commercial van on sale in the U.S.,” said Tim Kuniskis, head of North American Brands, SRT Performance Division, Retail Marketing. The last ProMaster City commercial van ceased production in 2022. Since then, all the competitors also exited the segment and left a glut of pent-up demand for a small, city-friendly work van to haul folks’ tools and equipment around. “Right now, in the market, there are no small, compact vans,” said Matt Huber, Senior Vice President, Ram Product. He continued, “So, we do…
Connecticut is a very gun-controlled state, as are most states in that neck of the woods. The only one that doesn’t suck these days is New Hampshire, and based on some rumblings there, I’m not sure how long that will hold. The Democrats in the state have pushed for every manner of gun control they can think of and gotten most of them, if not all. They don’t like guns. That’s clear. However, they’re also facing some blowback for where they don’t seem to mind them, and that’s as a political prop.State Sen. Ryan Fazio of…
