Artificial intelligence, no matter how much the term doesn’t really apply to what we call AI, isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. For better or worse, it’s part of our lives now, and it’s up to us to try to figure out where it fits in. And it’s an interesting tool, to say the least. I’ve gotten a kick out of using it at times, though I’ve also seen where it gets a whole lot wrong and is less than trustworthy. But Frank Miniter over at America’s 1st Freedom did something interesting. He asked ChatGPT how to…

Two major gun-rights groups have filed a motion with the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts to strike down the state’s restriction on the possession and carry of semi-automatic firearms and handguns by law-abiding adults under 21 years of age. This article was originally published by Connor O’Keeffe at The Mises Institute.  Or, at least—according to Scott Kupor, director of the Office of Personnel Management—the Department of Government Efficiency “doesn’t exist” anymore as a centralized entity, despite having eight months left on its official mandate. Some key DOGE figures have left government entirely, while others have relocated to other executive departments. This has led many to declare this the death of DOGE and label the project an abject failure. Some proponents have pushed back against this characterization, arguing that the work of DOGE is continuing and that a transition from a…

For over a century, Buck Knives has been part of our heritage. From farmers working their fields, to soldiers fighting on the front lines, and folks like you and me wandering around in the woods, a Buck knife is part of those stories. However, as someone who writes about knives, this is the first time Buck has been part of a story I’ve written. At the end of October, Buck sent me some knives from its new Range series.
