A bizarre law in New Jersey that prohibits carrying almost anything other than a firearm for self-defense is being challenged by the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs and Knife Rights.  The lawsuit, filed today in federal court, takes on New Jersey Statute 2C:39-5(d), which essentially criminalizes arming yourself in potential self-defense with anything that might be used as a weapon. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has approved over $13.6 million in funds to create a veterans cemetery in Augusta, Ga. Proper burials are important to honor deceased service members and to provide closure for their families. But military families in Augusta currently often travel long distances for burial services, like in Fort Jackson, Columbia, or to the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
