American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is one of the premier names in off-road tuning. Beyond selling individual aftermarket parts, the company also offers complete kits for folks looking to create their own adventure rig. Its latest creation is the AEV FX370, which is based on the Ford Super Duty, and is for anyone who needs to carry heavy payloads well off the beaten path. The complete kit starts at $19,999.
A $20,000 Upgrade With Some Serious Off-Road Potential
The AEV FX370 is a complete upgrade package for the Ford Super Duty. The company believes that owners of these trucks often use them for multiple roles, so the purpose of this rig is to improve off-road ability without compromising towing capability. The parts include a new stamped steel front bumper with an integrated winch. Auxiliary LED lights attach to the top of it. There’s also a rear bumper with chassis-mounted recovery points, and the design offers improved departure clearance. Aesthetically, a graphics package includes stripes with red pinstripes along the sides.
To climb over obstacles, the builder installs its 4.0-inch DualSport RT suspension that includes Bilstein 5100 shocks with AEV’s in-house tuning. The lift allows for fitting 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires that wrap around the company’s 18-inch Salta XD wheels with a gloss black finish. AEV even recalibrates the speedometer to match the new wheel-tire package.
As AEV puts it, “The FX370 is intended for customers who frequently tow trailers, campers, equipment, or fifth-wheel configurations while continuing to use the vehicle for daily driving and commercial work.”
Since this kit focuses on suspension upgrades and tougher bumpers, it can work with any version of the Super Duty. For context, a 2026 Ford F-250 starts at $45,975 (plus a $2,795 destination fee). At the top of the range, a F-450 Platinum starts at $96,335, and options can quickly take the price to over six figures.
Why Should You Trust AEV’s Kit Compared To Anyone Else’s?
The new FX370 is slightly milder than the FXL upgrade kit for the Super Duty that AEV introduced earlier in 2026, which includes 40-inch tires around beadlock-capable 18-inch Katmai wheels. A 4.0-inch suspension lift is among the upgrades, including AEV’s tuned Bilstein shocks and custom coil springs. Up front, there’s a 20,000-pound winch mounted to a new steel bumper.
