Concealed Carrier Lands 3 of 10 Shots On Suspected Robber

A would-be robber was killed last month when he attempted to rob a 25-year-old man at gunpoint.

The incident occurred in the evening at an intersection in Philadelphia. 

NBC 10 reports the young man shot and killed the gunman who attempted to rob him. The suspect reportedly approached the man, declared a robbery, brandished a firearm, and pointed it at him.

Police say that the victim, legally licensed to carry a firearm, drew his own weapon. He fired at least ten rounds at the suspect and hit the robber three times in the torso. 

Chief of Police, Inspector Small told ABC News “The perpetrator of the robbery was [allegedly] parked inside a vehicle. There was also a female in that vehicle.”

According to reports, the suspect was pronounced dead after being transported to the Einstein Medical Center. The self-defender remained and cooperated with the authorities.

This information originally came from the young man, according to reports.

Small continued, explaining that after the suspect was shot, the female in the car drove off. 

“We found it, parked, unattended and riddled with multiple bullet holes,” he said.

The authorities are currently searching for the woman and reviewing surveillance videos concerning the incident. 

Ammoland reported that this incident frightened many of the citizens living in that neighborhood. One neighbor thought the shots were in her own home.

Afterward, the shooter’s weapon was taken in for examination. No identities have been released by the police yet.
