Take note, watch lovers: The clock is ticking on what’s likely one of the best sales of the year. Swiss brand Zodiac — which has long built some of the industry’s most sought-after and iconic watches — is currently selling out its entire online inventory at steep discounts. The sale has been ongoing for weeks, but recently reached a new benchmark by offering 50% off everything that’s left. That’s great news for those anxious to get their hands on a sweet deal. On the other hand, it’s potentially concerning for those worried about the future of this historic brand. With a…
Making your own guns has been legal in the United States since before it was the United States. Our colonist ancestors built their own guns all the time, buying pieces they couldn’t manufacture themselves, then assembling them in their home workshops or even on their kitchen tables. They built guns because that was just one of the ways you could get one, especially if you didn’t live near a gunsmith. And through the years, building your own firearms has remained legal, at least up until recently. Politicians and the media started screaming about “ghost guns”…
This article was originally published by Cassie B. at Natural News. Verizon suffered a major nationwide service outage affecting hundreds of thousands. Customers were left unable to call, text, or use data for hours. The outage prompted emergency advisories in major cities like New York. Verizon apologized and will issue credits, but did not reveal the cause. This follows a similar 2024 outage and raises concerns over cost-cutting versus reliability. A critical piece of America’s technological infrastructure failed on Wednesday, leaving a trail of frustration and exposing the fragile nature of our centralized communication systems. Verizon Communications, one of the…
An improved model of Microsoft Corp.’s goggles won’t be deployed to U.S. Army combat troops for at least two years because the company must first demonstrate it has fixed flaws that left soldiers with headaches, nausea and eyestrain, according to the Army. If the goggle passes its tests, a version will be fielded starting in July 2025, the Army said in a statement. The latest version is slimmer and lighter and is designed “to greatly improve soldier comfort,” Microsoft said in a statement. Software improvements are also intended to result in greater reliability and reduced power demand. Microsoft’s Integrated Visual Augmentation System, or…

By Rob Morse Lies come in many shapes and sizes. Some are simple exaggerations. Some are absurd falsehoods. Unfortunately, we tend to believe a plain, bold-faced lie if it’s expressed with enough emotion. That’s the same kind thing keeps viewers watching and clicking so the press is often more interested in outrage than in the truth. A lie doesn’t become the truth no matter how many times it’s repeated, but the lie may help politicians get re-elected if it’s repeated often enough and believed by enough likely voters. We need to call out every lie we see even if that…
On the heels of the shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, it’s unsurprising to see many states taking steps they believe would prevent such a shooting. Others may be taking steps they were going to take anyway, it just looks like a response to Nashville because of timing. A bill over state-funded gun training for teachers in Indiana could fall into either category, though I don’t really care which. I don’t care because it’s a good idea. Luckily, it seems lawmakers agree with me. Indiana state lawmakers have sent the state’s Republican governor a bill that would create…
A delivery driver and passenger were involved in an incident earlier this month when a homeowner shot at them. No charges have been filed. Waldes Thomas Jr., 19, and Diamond Darville, 18, were attempting to deliver groceries for Instacart. Mistakenly, they drove onto the 2-acre property of Antonio Caccavale, 43. According to a police report from the Davie Police Department, the couple was “on the phone with the customer, trying to find the right address” when they arrived at the wrong location. Officials say that their desired destination had been across the street. Caccavale, the homeowner, was interviewed afterward. He’d…
A Fort Bragg, North Carolina, soldier who plotted to commit mass murder against racial minorities pleaded guilty to weapons charges Wednesday and faces up to a decade in prison, according to the Department of Justice. Noah Anthony, 23, had a goal to “physically remove as many of [black and brown people] from Hoke, Cumberland, Robeson and Scotland Counties by whatever means need be,” according to a manifesto, court documents say. He also owned an American flag with a swastika in place of the blue field and stars, and various neo-Nazi and white supremacist patches, literature and T-shirts. It’s unclear whether…
It’s no secret that 9mm reigns supreme when it comes to both popularity and flexibility for handguns. But with that popularity comes a mind-boggling amount of pistols to choose from when doing your research, but helping you get pointed in the right direction is precisely why we are here. Is it just me, or does it always feel like there are simultaneously too many 9mm pistols but also never enough? Today we are going to take a look at some of our favorite 9mm pistols for concealed carry, general use (home defense and range/fun), and competition. Unfortunately, there is not…
Illinois has been going above and beyond as of late to make Second Amendment related news. The National Association for Gun Rights filed a lawsuit last year challenging the city of Naperville’s so-called “assault weapons” ban. That case, Bevis et al v. City of Naperville was amended earlier this year to include the State of Illinois as a plaintiff, which enacted a ban in January. The request for an injunction against the law made its way all the way to the Seventh Circuit, and Bevis et.al. were not granted any temporary relief. It was announced in a release that an…

NEW YORK — The co-founder of a fundraising group linked to Steve Bannon that promised to help Donald Trump construct a wall along the southern U.S. border was sentenced to four years and three months in prison on Wednesday for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from donors. Brian Kolfage, a decorated Air Force veteran who lost both of his legs and an arm in the Iraq War, previously pleaded guilty for his role in siphoning donations from the We Build the Wall campaign. A co-defendant, financier Andrew Badolato, was also sentenced to three years for aiding the effort. He…
I see so many folks go to ranges, only to practice the same drills over and over again. Many of these drills are basic “tests” that various schools use to determine basic competency. Some even have clever names and titles. I enjoy shooting some of these drills, but the amount of time, energy, and resources devoted to them are irrelevant to my overall training goals. My goal is to create generalists. People who are well-rounded and capable of adapting their abilities and strategies to many different types of personal defense situations. Can you improve your general performance by practicing…
