An ongoing trend of Chicago police officers wrongfully arresting lawful Black gun owners on firearms charges despite the fact that they have valid FOID and CCL licenses is turning some heads. Virginia Democrats are still playing their gun control cards close to the vest, with just two firearm-related bills pre-filed for the 2026 session. We know that many more are coming, though. Rob Reiner spent half a century teaching America how to talk about itself; that’s why the news out of Brentwood last week has landed with such force. Tragically, Reiner, 78, and his wife, photographer Michele Singer Reiner, 70, were found dead at their home on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025.
