The April edition of GunBroker.com’s Top Selling Report presented by GunGenius.com, shows just how incredibly popular SIG Sauer’s pistols are with consumers. For the second month in a row, the top five spots for used semi-auto pistols are all from SIG. When tallied up, there were more than 18,800 individual active listings for the five SIG pistols on this list. Below, we’ll take a look at each one of the models found in the top five.
5th Place: P220
With design roots going back 50 years to 1975, the P220 is considered by many to be the semi-auto pistol that truly put SIG on the map. The pistol was designed for the Swiss Army and has been in service with them for decades. A hammer-fired pistol, the P220 was originally released in 9mm as a full-size gun. Today, SIG offers it in .45 ACP and 10mm. Over the years, it has also been offered in multiple different configurations and slide lengths, giving used P220 shoppers a wide variety of used guns from which to choose. At the time of publication, there were more than 1,000 P220 pistols listed for sale on GunBroker.
4th Place: P229
Sometimes a gun has a great overall design but end user feedback shows that the entire thing needs to be shrunk down into a smaller package. Here, the great overall design comes from the SIG P226 and the smaller package is the SIG P229. Originally designed for use by law enforcement, the P229 has become popular with members of the general public who want the familiarity of the P226 but in the more concealable footprint offered by the P229. At the time of publication, there were more than 1,600 P229 pistols listed for sale on GunBroker.
3rd Place: P365
When it comes to micro-compact pistols for concealed carry, the SIG P365 reigns supreme. It holds the distinction of being the #1-selling pistol for concealed carry in the United States. The P365 is a striker-fired pistol that utilizes a modified double-stack magazine to increase carrying capacity. You can get mags for the P365 in 10, 12, 15, 17, and even 21-round capacity. Originally designed for 9mm, there’s also a .380 ACP model available, and given the use of Sig’s fire control unit, the gun is almost infinitely configurable to the individual shooter’s needs. At the time of publication, there were more than 6,200 P365 pistols listed for sale on GunBroker.

2nd Place: P226
Utilizing the same operating mechanism as the P220, the SIG P226 set the standard for full-size combat pistols. In fact, it came down to Sig’s P226 and Beretta’s 92 in the U.S. military trials in the 1980s, with Beretta narrowly winning out. The gun was designed 40 years ago in 1985 and, despite not being selected as the standard U.S. sidearm, the P226 has been in use by the U.S. Navy SEALs for decades. Offered in multiple calibers and configurations over the years, there’s bound to be a P226 for everyone’s interests and needs. At the time of publication, there were more than 3,100 P226 pistols listed for sale on GunBroker.
1st Place: P320
Introduced in 2014, the SIG P320 wasted no time in rising to the top of the popularity charts for both personal and professional use. In just three short years, the P320 emerged as the winner of the U.S. military’s XM17 Modular Handgun System trials. The full-size pistol was designated the M17 and the compact pistol was designated the M18. Designed to be ambidextrous and able to be completely disassembled without any tools, this striker-fired pistol has proven popular the world over with military, law enforcement, and civilians alike. At the time of publication, there were more than 6,900 P320 pistols listed for sale on GunBroker.
