In the not-too-distant past, Girsan released two Browning Hi-Power style pistols, the MC P35 OPS and the MC P35 PI. The all-steel pistols were met with immediate fanfare, each for its own reasons. So, the company decided that the best way to build on this was to mash the two together. Like Peanut Butter Cups, only better.
The Girsan MC P35 PI OPS
Featuring an all-steel construction, the MC P35 PI OPS combines the best features of the PI and OPS models. The sleek, compact design measures 7.5 inches overall, providing a concealable Browning Hi-Power style platform. Likewise, with an overall weight of 2.10 pounds, the PI OPS is manageable on the belt with the right holster.
Textured G-10 grips offer a secure grip on the pistol during courses of fire, whether wet or dry. Likewise, an extended beavertail promotes a solid, high grip while preventing slide bite. Just forward the trigger guard is a three-slot Picatinny rail for the addition of lights, lasers, or other accessories.
The steel slide features aggressive rear cocking serrations for enhanced slide manipulation under any condition. Additionally, the optic-ready slide utilizes a standard 3-dot sight configuration. However, the rear sight is part of the removable optic cut cover, exposing the RMS/RMSc footprint.
Housed within the slide is the 3.88-inch barrel chambered in 9mm. Rounds are sent downrange via a flat-faced trigger, providing excellent control. Including a 15-round magazine, the MC P35 PI OPS offers a 15+1 round overall capacity.
