“Very hard” and “won’t last much longer” is the same thing every administration says right before a war grinds on for years. Blowing up radar and mine-laying equipment near Hormuz sounds decisive on paper, but Iran doesn’t need a functioning military to keep this going indefinitely, it needs the will to keep shooting back, and nothing here suggests that’s gone. Hope he’s right. History says be skeptical of timelines delivered from behind a podium.
