Demo

Beretta has released a new version of its long-running 92FS, this time dressed in an OD Green Cerakote® finish.

It’s the same full-size 9mm pistol that’s been in military and police use for decades, now available in a colorway that might appeal to shooters who want something different—but not too different.

What’s New?

The headline feature here is the OD Green Cerakote®, a finish that offers better corrosion resistance than standard coatings and gives the pistol a more modern, tactical appearance.

Other than that, this is the same 92FS platform with familiar specs.

Key Features

  • Threaded Barrel: The 4.9” barrel comes threaded ½”-28, allowing for use with compensators or suppressors right out of the box. (Note: Reduced-capacity models don’t have a threaded barrel.)
  • Reversible Magazine Release & Ambi Safety-Decocker: Practical for left-handed shooters or anyone who likes to switch up grip styles.
  • Flared Magazine Well: A slight flare makes reloads smoother, though it’s not a dramatic change.
  • Standard 15-Round Capacity: Also available in 10-round versions for states with restrictions.
  • Weight & Dimensions: Weighs in at 33.3 oz unloaded, with an overall length of 8.5” and height of 5.5”.

Same Mechanics, Proven Track Record

The 92FS hasn’t changed much mechanically, and that’s kind of the point. It’s known for being overbuilt, relatively easy to shoot, and reliable with a wide range of ammo.

For those already familiar with the platform, the OD Green variant offers a cosmetic change without altering the handling or feel.

This release doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it does give Beretta fans and collectors another finish to consider.

At a starting MSRP of $799, the OD Green 92FS lands in the same ballpark as other standard models, making it more of a style option than a performance upgrade. Learn more HERE.
