GENESEO, ILL. (05/08/23) – Combining the performance of a larger handgun with class-leading concealability to provide an exceptional everyday carry pistol, the Springfield Armory® Hellcat® Pro 9mm pistol is now available with a frame-mounted ambidextrous manual safety.

Designed to deliver the perfect balance, the new Hellcat Pro is a compact pistol chambered in 9mm that offers 15+1 capacity in a smaller footprint than any other gun in its class. The pistol packs in impressive capacity while still maintaining the ergonomic, slim profile of the original Hellcat for seamless concealability. And the addition of the low-profile yet easily engageable ambidextrous safety further enhances its capabilities.

At just 1″ wide, the slim-line grip of the pistol feels superb in the hand, while the additional mass in the slide and barrel translates into reduced muzzle flip and faster follow-up shots. The lightweight polymer frame features our Adaptive Grip Texture™, a seamless, pressure-activated texture featuring a pattern of staggered pyramid shapes. Additionally, the location the ambidextrous manual safety at the rear of the frame makes the application of it natural and intuitive for both left- and right-handed users.

Developed with the use of red dot optics in mind, the Hellcat Pro features an OSP™ (Optical Sight Pistol) configuration. The slide is milled with the Springfield Micro™ footprint, designed to direct mount the smallest, most popular micro red dots on the market for the lowest mount possible. Backing up your choice of optic is an excellent set of co-witnessing U-Dot™ sights, made up of a tritium & luminescent front sight paired with a Tactical Rack rear sight.

“The Hellcat Pro delivers full-size performance in a concealable, EDC-ready package with unmatched ergonomics,” says Steve Kramer, Springfield Armory’s Vice President of Marketing. “And for those who prefer a manual safety on their carry pistol, this newest variant gives them everything they could want in a CCW pistol.”

With an MSRP of $649 ($859 with optional Shield SMSc optic), the Hellcat Pro with manual safety offers shooters an exceptional everyday carry pistol that delivers the perfect balance.
