Photo Of The Day: Anyone with the slightest interest in modern warfare is sure to have seen various types of drones in use, both in passive and active duties. The DroneGun Mk4 shown above reminds me of what the future looks like, yet we’re already here. The DroneGun Mk4 claims to be useful against a variety of drones and can interfere with the control, navigation, and video of numerous models.
Here’s DroneShield’s own description
The DroneGun Mk4 is a rugged, handheld cUAS effector providing users with a compact, rapid response countermeasure capability. The device maintains the versatility of its predecessor, while hosting improved performance, ingress protection and serviceability.
The DroneGun Mk4 is highly effective against a wide range of UAS types and models. The DroneGun Mk4 can disrupt the control, navigation and video of multiple drones simultaneously.
When disruption is triggered, UAS will typically respond via a vertical controlled landing on the spot, or return back to the operator controller or starting point. RF disruption can also interfere with any live video streaming (FPV) back to the remote controller halting the collection of video footage and intelligence by the UAS operator.
DroneShield’s C-UAS defeat capabilities do not involve protocol manipulation or “cyber” tactics, given the limitations of those methods. Our defeat technologies offer non-kinetic jamming for controlled management of threats.
