In a recent episode of Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, Vice President Kamala Harris shared her thoughts on Donald Trump, the Constitution, and why some Black Americans support Trump.
Urban gun enthusiast Colion Noir quickly picked up on the conversation, analyzing her comments and pointing out contradictions in her stance on constitutional rights, especially the Second Amendment.
During the interview, Sharpe asked Harris why some Black Americans favor Trump, to which she pivoted, saying the real question is whether Trump should even be president.
She claimed that Trump wants to “terminate the Constitution,” citing various amendments, including the Fourth, Fifth, and Second. Harris then added, “I’m in favor of the Second Amendment. I don’t believe we should be taking anyone’s guns away.”
Noir questioned this, arguing that Harris’s record tells a different story. He highlighted her past support for an “assault weapons” ban, universal background checks, and red flag laws—policies that directly infringe on Second Amendment rights.
Noir argued that while Trump may have made vague statements out of frustration, he clarified his intent two days later, emphasizing that he wasn’t advocating for dismantling the Constitution.
Noir also pointed to Harris’s actions as a prosecutor and public official, stating she’s pushed measures counter to other constitutional rights, such as the First and Fourth Amendments.
For Noir, Harris’s support of policies like gun bans contradicts her claim of backing the 2A. “Watching her say these things without flinching is like watching peak-level projection and gaslighting in action,” he remarked.
Noir concluded by suggesting that while people can have their opinions on Trump’s comments, Harris’s record leaves little doubt about her stance on the Second Amendment.
Noir correctly asserts that the right to bear arms remains a critical aspect of personal freedom and self-defense, especially when politicians advocate restrictions that target law-abiding citizens.
