ATN was showing off a prototype of its upcoming TTM-18 multifunction thermal utilizing a 640 sensor with <20 mK sensitivity at SHOT Show. They offered a look at both its military (TTM-18) and upcoming civilian (Odin XMFT) versions.

The TTM-18 looks to be a versatile thermal solution with several modes of use essentially trying to compete with the iRay RH25. However, the TTM-18 adds a laser range finder and onboard ballistics.

Four Uses in One Device

The TTM-18 is being touted as a multifunctional thermal device. The version on display is the mill/gov model, but a civilian version, the Odin XMFT, will hit shelves in about six months. The Odin XMFT will feature four uses: as a clip-on thermal scope, an independent rifle scope, a goggle (when helmet-mounted), and as a handheld monocular.

It’s designed with a base magnification of 1x and can go up to 4x. Powered by an 18650 battery, it boasts 8 to 10 hours of battery life. This thermal also comes equipped with multiple color palettes. Additionally, this device offers the much-anticipated picture-in-picture mode and options for both a laser and non-laser range finder.

Civilian Version Details

Two core options will be available for civilians: a 320 core and a 640 core. The latter is expected to be priced around $4,000.

However, ATN is known for competitive pricing, so it could come in a bit lower than that. The 320 core model will be priced less, and a laser range finder will cost an extra $300-$500.

Onboard Ballistics and More

The Odin XMFT will also feature onboard ballistics capabilities. This lets users input bullet information so that once a target is ranged, the correct elevation holdover will be immediately displayed.

It’s clear that ATN is aiming to create a fully functional thermal device with added practical features for shooters.

Availability and Pricing

ATN expects the civilian version to ship in about six months. While the Odin XMFT and TTM-18 are in the works, they are aiming to take the title of the most versatile thermal currently on the market.
