The MAC 9 DS Comp is the newest addition to Military Armament Corporation (MAC). This offering is a 9mm double-stack 1911-style pistol that blends desirable features with an approachable price point.
Speaking with an SDS Arms representative at SHOT Show 2025, it appears that the MAC 9 DS Comp was designed with feedback from users to improve usability, performance, and overall value.
One of the most notable upgrades for 2025 is the addition of the compensated version, alongside a standard model.
But the machine work doesn’t stop at the compensator either. This model also features lightening cuts that double as serrations for manipulating the slide.
The controls on this 2011 have also been improved. It features an SF-style safety and skeletonized hammer plus an extended slide lock lever to ensure better usability for shooters with smaller hands.
An oversized magazine release and multiple options for trigger shoes make it customizable to the shooter’s preference.
Another upgrade is the inclusion of the Agency Arms AOS optic cut. This offers more versatility for mounting optics than the 507K footprint seen or earlier models.
Pricing is a pleasant surprise, with the standard, non-compensated model priced at around $949, and the compensated version at $1,079. Considering 2011 prices regularly run over 3K, I am glad to see more budget options coming to market.
The MAC 9 DS Comp is slated to ship in February 2025, so keep an eye on the MAC Website for when they are listed.
