Hoonigan is back with the Rally Speedrun Championship, an original, six-episode series pitting professional drivers and custom vehicles against a rally course designed to find their limits. By testing drivers’ ability to navigate a tough course as fast as possible, it’s basically “time trials with attitude,” the brand said in a press release.

Each episode sees a different rider and their preferred vehicle tackling a private rally course designed by rally expert Wyatt Knox, who also hosts the show. The course is a beast, including 1.3 miles packed with 11 complex corners, multiple blind crests, two jumps, and pockets that deliver “intense speeds,” according to Hoonigan.

“Hoonigan came to me, true to form, with a wild idea: build a rally course from scratch that would push world-class drivers and machines to their limits,” Knox said.

“That’s exactly what we did. With the Hoonigan crew’s creative energy, we carved a flowing, high-risk course through the rolling hills — jumps, deep sand, sharp elevation, and even a donut as a tribute to the Gymkhana films. It’s built to reward the smart, punish the reckless, and expose every weakness. In rally, they say ‘to finish first, first you must finish’ — this track lives and breathes that ethos. It’s a must-see series.”

First Episode: Jeff Zwart

The first episode dropped on Monday and did not disappoint. It kicks off with longtime racer and film director Jeff Zwart, who brings along his 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Clearly, the 69-year-old has not lost his touch, showing off amazingly consistent times in three runs of the course.

“At this point in my life, I just want to drive something that’s super fun, and this is it,” Zwart said of his chosen vehicle, which doesn’t even have rally tires.

If the first episode is an indication of what’s to come, we can expect fantastic cinematography. With several cameras at multiple points along the course, as well as an in-vehicle cam and drone footage, every moment of the action is captured in crisp detail.

‘Hoonigan’ Rally Speedrun Championship

Other drivers in coming episodes include Faruk Kugay, a 10-year Formula Drift veteran driving a 1980 Toyota Corolla. There’s also Alister Skully in a WRC2-spec Hyundai i20, Patrick Gruszka with his long-travel Mitsubishi Mirage Proto, and Blake Wilkey, who brought his 660-horsepower trophy truck “JAWS.”

Each episode of Season 1 will air on the Hoonigan YouTube channel.

There’s also a Season 2 already in the works, including new rides like a World Rally Car replica and a “snarling, high-revving CrossKart,” the brand said.

Catch all the action in this fresh edit.
