Retrospec is a U.S.-based brand that makes getting outside more accessible to more people through fun and affordable bikes and outdoor gear. Retrospec’s products often have proven, back-to-basics designs with an emphasis on durable components.

Known primarily for its bicycles and electric bikes, Retrospec also makes outdoor gear like paddleboards and longboards. There’s room for fun, too. The brand recently launched its line of Grateful Dead bikes, e-bikes, and kids’ bikes.

Here are some highlights that showcase the brand’s approach with value-minded prices.

Beaumont City Bike Step — Step-Through 7-Speed: $300

This bestseller is a sturdy and clean-looking city bike. It has a Euro-style step-through frame for a classic (and accessible) design. The Beaumont bike frame is made from high-tensile steel, and the seven-speed Shimano drivetrain is just enough to tackle small hills and the flats during city rides.

Other city-friendly features include full-wrap fenders, a rear rack for holding essentials, and the ease of Shimano RevoShift twist-grip shifters. Bonus points for all the color options.

Beaumont Rev 2 City Electric Bike — Step-Through: $1,000

This is essentially the Beaumont you see above with an electronic assist, complete with a step-through frame, ergonomic padded saddle, and handy rear rack. However, there are differences, like the more rounded frame geometry, the built-in headlight, and a painted bike rack.

The Beaumont Rev helps you tackle everyday urban adventures with five-level pedal assistance, full throttle use up to 20 mph, and a range of up to 38 miles. That’s likely enough for your daily commute and errands on the way home. Grooved, high-volume tires provide a safe, cushioned ride as you cruise over bumps and cracks with ease.

The Weekender is an all-around iSUP built for every skill level. It has a rounded nose and square tail that work together to respond accurately to steering input and glide through the water. Additionally, the textured deck pad provides grip so you can paddle with confidence and comfort.

This inflatable paddle board is built with high-quality materials, has storage space onboard, and comes with the fins and accessories you’ll need to get going and have fun on the water.

Koda Plus 16″ Kids’ Bike (4-6 Years): $25

This one’s for the kids! The Koda Plus combines a lightweight bike with a dual hand brake system to help kids get the hang of things. The aluminum frame allows for an extra-low seat height of 19 inches. When the little one grows, move the seat up.

Adjustable brake levers are always within reach to deploy the front and rear V-brakes. The Koda Plus has premium touches like internal cable routing and a threadless stem.

The ultimate kids’ bike for growing adventurers, it comes with training wheels that are easy to install and remove for those who aren’t on the balance bike program.
