With the mighty Atlantic in his rearview, Paul Pabst — the BeerJunkie — has his sights set on the Rockies. This time, we’re trying one of the Centennial State’s hallmark craft beers. Heck, it’s one of the most legendary craft beers in America.

That’s because once upon a time, good beer meant glass bottles. But Oskar Blues Brewery, hailing from Longmont, Colo., bucked that trend and became the first to put a craft beer in a can. And that beer was Dale’s Pale Ale.

Anyone west of the Mississippi River will recognize the red, white, and blue can. But if you’ve never come across this iconic beer, stay tuned as the BeerJunkie cracks open the history!
