Guns & Ammo editor Eric Poole joined Wayne Holt of Alexander Arms at the 2019 NRA Show to discuss the 6.5 Grendel cartridge, which Alexander Arms created. Alexander Arms also created the .50 Beowulf rifle cartridge. Holt and Poole looked at the Alexander Arms Highlander AR-15 pistol, which can be chambered in 6.5 Grendel, .50 Beowulf and even .17 HMR Rimfire. This AR pistol is incredibly versatile. Holt spoke with Poole about how their cartridge changed the AR platform, and shaped long-range AR shooting. An Alexander Arms Highlander chambered in 6.5 Grendel has a variety of uses, including shooting at 1000 yards, hunting deer or self-defense. The 6.5 Grendel is a fantastic cartridge that has impressive accuracy. The 6.5 Grendel only dropped 11.42 inches from muzzle to 300 yards, showcasing the impressive accuracy of this cartridge.
