Thermal optics are hotter than ever—literally and figuratively—and the 2025 NRA Show brought a new wave of cutting-edge devices from SIG Sauer, InfiRay/ Nocpix.

Whether you’re predator hunting, hog blasting, or just geeking out on gear, there’s something in this batch for you.

SIG Sauer’s Handheld Thermal Lineup

SIG came out swinging with a new family of American-programmed handheld thermals, each packing serious performance. All models boast 640 sensors, 12-micron resolution, and sub-20 mK NETD sensitivity.

One model features a 35mm objective with dual power sources—both internal and hot-swappable 18500 rechargeable batteries. Another offers an adjustable optical zoom from 25mm to 50mm, letting users shift between 1.5x and 3x optical magnification before digital kicks in.

The top-end model adds a built-in laser rangefinder and onboard applied ballistics, with SIG hinting at future scope integration. Most impressive? SIG slapped their legendary lifetime warranty on the entire line—nearly unheard of in the thermal world.

Nocpix Quest H50R & H35R Binoculars

Nocpix delivered serious glass with their new Quest thermal binoculars. Available in 35mm and 50mm models, both use 640 sensors, 12-micron pixels, and boast NETD ratings down to 15 mK.

The adjustable diopters, focus wheel, digital zoom, internal battery with USB-C charging, and swappable 18650 batteries make these binos as practical as they are powerful.

Oh—and they record, take photos, and range too.

Nocpix Rico 2 S75R – Big Glass, Big Power

The Rico 2 S75R is a beast of a scope with a 1280×1024 sensor, 75mm objective, and 3x base mag. Ballistic calculations, onboard video, and a 1000-yard rangefinder come standard, plus a buttery zoom ring and massive 2560×2560 display.

It’s not shipping yet—blame the China tariff shuffle—but this one’s worth waiting for.

Hybrid Compact – The 10-Micron Breakthrough

The Hybrid Compact brings something new to the table: the industry’s first 10-micron commercial thermal. It runs a 640 sensor, 50mm objective, has an onboard rangefinder and ballistics engine, and takes a sideways-mounted 18650 for reliable recoil resistance.

With quick-toggle switching between clip-on, standalone, and handheld use, it’s built for flexibility and speed.
