Second Amendment supporters just got a serious shot of good news. In a congressional landscape too often stacked against gun owners, House Republicans are finally making noise — and it’s the kind gun owners like to hear.

The House Judiciary Committee just advanced a slate of pro-gun bills, and they’re not just symbolic, reports the NSSF.

From national concealed carry reciprocity to fixing due process nightmares in background checks, these bills are real moves in the right direction — and they’re gaining traction.

The House Markup of the pro-gun bills. You can watch the full session.

Let’s break it down:

H.R. 38 – Concealed Carry Reciprocity Is Back

Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.) reloaded one of the most popular 2A bills in the country: the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. Under this bill, if your state says you can carry, other states would have to honor that. Like a driver’s license. Simple. Smart. Long overdue.

Hudson summed it up: “Our Second Amendment right does not disappear when we cross invisible state lines.” Amen.

After fierce debate, the committee passed the bill 18-9. Full House vote next.

H.R. 2243 – The LEOSA Reform Act

This one’s for the cops. Retired and qualified officers often find themselves hamstrung by conflicting local laws — even though they’re the ones we trust with a badge.

This bipartisan bill would finally fix that, allowing qualified officers to carry nationwide, even in national parks and school zones.

Passed 13-11.

H.R. 2255 – Let the Feds Buy Their Own Guns Back

Right now, when federal agencies upgrade service weapons, perfectly good guns get destroyed. Rep. Russell Fry (R-S.C.) says: why not let the officers buy them instead?

Common sense. Passed 14-9.

H.R. 2267 – NICS Transparency

Rep. Thomas Massie wants to shine a light on who’s getting denied by the FBI’s background check system — and why. Demographic reporting on denials is long overdue. Passed by voice vote.

H.R. 2184 – Fixing Background Check Mistakes

How many Americans have been wrongly denied the right to buy a firearm because of an error? Too many. Rep. Tom Emmer’s bill gives law-abiding gun owners a legal path to challenge bad denials — and it passed with bipartisan support.

Conclusion: Pro-Gun Bills Advance in House!

With Trump pledging to sign concealed carry reciprocity into law — and GOP control returning to the Senate — these bills are more than political theater. They’re part of a strategic push to rebuild what’s been chipped away.

Over 26 million new gun owners in the last five years. Millions more watching closely.

Congress is finally listening. Stay tuned!
