Kimber have added the latest addition to their 2024 product lineup with the 2K11, a double-stack 1911 available in both 9mm and .45 ACP. This high capacity 1911 incorporates a number of features new to the platform.
Two configurations are available at launch with the 2K11: Standard and target. The standard model comes with 3 magazines and 1 C&H® optic mounting plate for Trijicon RMR type footprints, with the option of three additional optic plates to support a wider variety of red dots.
Similarly, the target models also come standard with 3 magazines and 1 C&H optic mounting plate, plus the target models feature a ported slide, adjustable rear target sight as well as a Kimber-exclusive Stan Chen Customs competition magwell.

The 2K11 has several unique features that come standard that you have to have customized in the aftermarket to achieve what you get out of the box with Kimber.”

Designed from the ground up to incorporate customer feedback, the 2K11 features an external extractor for increased reliability and durability as well as a type III hard anodized aluminum grip module. The 2K11 also has improved internal geometry that enhances the reliability of feeding the high-capacity magazines. Finally, Kimber have expressed high confidence in their signature GT Trigger found on both variants, sporting an advertised 3.5lb break.
A patent pending tool-less guide rod for ease of disassembly and cleaning rounds out the list of unique features on the 2K11 compared to contemporary 1911-style handguns.
