Volquartsen Firearms Continues Support of Second Amendment Foundation

The Second Amendment would not survive if it did not have good and proper stewardship. Organizations that go to bat for gun owners do most of the heavy lifting so that Americans can enjoy their liberties. The Second Amendment Foundation, the organization responsible for McDonald v. City of Chicago – which galvanized the Second Amendment at the state level – recently got renewed support from an industry partner.

The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) is pleased to announce that Volquartsen Firearms has renewed their corporate partnership at the Silver level.

In addition to continuing their monetary support of SAF, Volquartsen generously built and donated a one-of-a-kind rifle to benefit SAF’s legal efforts. The rifle will be auctioned through SAF’s GunBroker page starting today. Not only has Volquartsen renewed their partnership and donated a unique rifle, they also hosted SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut on a recent No Excuse to Miss podcast to discuss the process for Second Amendment litigation and pro-2A talking points.

Seeing companies that are engaged with activist groups like the Second Amendment Foundation is fantastic. Knowing that Volquartsen is also working to share information and spread the news via podcast shows real commitment to the Second Amendment.

“Our family has been involved in the firearms industry for 50 years. In that time, I don’t think any organization has done more to defend the Second Amendment than the Second Amendment Foundation,” said Volquartsen Firearms President Scott Volquartsen. “Their work requires incredible resources, and for businesses like ours to continue, we must do what we can to support their efforts.”

Both Volquartsen and the Second Amendment Foundation are celebrating 50 years this year, being founded in 1974. Volquartsen “has since built a legacy of heirloom quality.” The Carroll, Iowa company understands that when it comes to quality, just because something’s “handcrafted,” doesn’t mean it’s going to be “well-crafted.” Recognizing this, “the company’s unique rifles are designed and engineered to the highest standards.”

Built in that same Iowa facility, Volquartsen designed a one-of-a-kind rifle to support SAF’s 50th anniversary and fundraising efforts. The Superlite .22 LR configuration features a Type III hard anodized aluminum receiver with a 20 MOA Picatinny rail and lightweight carbon fiber tensioned barrel with laser-hardened breech face. Topped with a Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14 x 40 CDS-ZL Wind-Plex in burnt bronze, the rifle prominently displays SAF’s 50th anniversary logo.

The rifle will be auctioned through SAF’s GunBroker page starting today, Aug. 29, at 8 a.m. EST and will end on Sept. 12 at 8 a.m. EST.

“We are grateful that Volquartsen recognizes the continued importance and value of our legal action and educational programs by choosing to renew their partnership,” Kraut said. “In addition to their renewal, Volquartsen has generously donated a one-of-a-kind rifle to further support our fundraising efforts allowing SAF to advance its mission — one that Scott and his team believe deeply in. Thanks to great partners like Volquartsen, SAF is able to focus on securing, defending, and restoring the Second Amendment for all to exercise.”

This is an exciting time to be part of the fight to maintain the Second Amendment, but further, see it gain ground. It’s refreshing when companies like Volquartsen step up to the plate to be part of the fight. It’s understandable in today’s climate, that funds might not be that liquid. It’s also understood there’s all kinds of societal pressure to have the right image. My message to companies would be to get involved. You’re already in the business, might as well support the rights behind it.
