Terrorist Attack in India Leaves Dozens Dead

Terrorism is a scourge that we would do well to somehow purge from humanity. Not only is it vicious and violent, but it doesn’t work most of the time. If anything, it just makes the situation worse for the people the terrorists claim they fighting for.

Unfortunately, terrorists have a tendency to ignore that fact. That’s assuming they’re really about the cause in the first place.

Regardless, though, terrorists are generally pathetic pieces of filth because of who they target, like these dipsticks in India.

At least two dozen people are feared to have been killed after gunmen indiscriminately fired at tourists in Indian-controlled Kashmir on Tuesday in what local authorities called a terror attack, blaming militants fighting against Indian rule.

“This attack is much larger than anything we’ve seen directed at civilians in recent years,” Omar Abdullah, the region’s top elected official, wrote on social media. “The death toll is still being ascertained so I don’t want to get into those details.”

Agence France-Presse, citing Indian police, reported that at least 24 people had died in the attack, which coincided with the trip to India of U.S. Vice President JD Vance.

Though Vance is on a largely personal four-day visit, he is also scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi for talks on the economy, trade and geopolitical ties.

This appears to be the work of Kashmir militants. While the group isn’t specifically named in this report, the Islamic terrorist group called Lashkar-e-Taiba seems a likely suspect for the attack, as this was the group responsible for the Mumbai terrorist attacks back in 2008.

The victims appear to be largely Indians, though it’s unlikely they’re exclusively so.

I’ll note that India isn’t exactly a pro-gun country, which means there was absolutely no chance for any of those tourists to have a firearm themselves that they could have used to fight back against this senseless attack.

Those laws, however, clearly didn’t stop the terrorists from getting guns.

Let’s understand that mass shootings are a relatively low-effort way for terrorists to kill a lot of people in any nation on the planet. We’ve seen this happen far too many times, including in Mumbai, but also in Paris, San Bernardino, and other cities throughout the world.

And yet, it doesn’t work. It’s never achieved its goals, really. Sometimes, terrorists like to claim it did, but those goals were usually achieved by some other means, and the sick, twisted jackwagons who killed innocent people get to pretend they accomplished something.

But despite its impressive failure rate, terrorism is still a common enough tactic, particularly in the Muslim world, that all nations have to be on guard against it. Yet mass murders like this don’t leave a whole lot of chatter for the intelligence community to detect.

It’s way past time for the nations of the world to stop getting in the way of their citizens defending themselves. Restore their gun rights, empower them to carry a firearm in their own defense, and watch what happens when terrorists decide it’s open season on innocent people.

If these Islamic terrorists want to meet Allah, I say we make sure there are plenty of people around to arrange the meeting.
