SHOT Show 2025 brought exciting announcements for night vision and rifle accessories. Scalarworks introduced their innovative “Fuse” product line. Also, Nocturn Industries came out with a lightweight night vision helmet mount.
Phil from Scalarworks provided an in-depth look at these new offerings, which focus on lightweight, durable, and modular optic and scope mounts designed for flexibility and precision.
Introducing the Fuse Line
The Fuse line represents a new era for Scalarworks’ mounting solutions. At its core are three new mounts:
- Fuse 1: A Picatinny riser designed to replace the previous Kick 1 riser. It now features an 11-slot rail (up from nine), enabling setups such as pairing an EXPS with a flip-to-side magnifier at 2.26” height or an Aimpoint with a laser up front.
- Fuse 2 & Fuse 3: These are lightweight scope mounts for 30mm and 34mm scopes, respectively. Both models are engineered with ultra-light construction, setting new standards in the category.
Key Features of the Fuse Scope Mounts
The Fuse 2 and 3 mounts stand out for their refined features:
- Red Dot Integration: The mounts have built-in hard mounting points for attaching red dots directly to the scope rings.
- Strength and Stability: Six screws per ring ensure maximum reliability.
- Quick Scope Leveling: The patented LevelDrive system allows precise and fast scope leveling.
- Enhanced Modular Design: With four sidekick mounting points (up from two in previous models), these mounts provide additional flexibility for attaching accessories.
To simplify setup, Scalarworks has also engraved torque specifications directly onto the mounts, a detail many users will appreciate.
Leap 2 Red Dot Mount
Scalarworks also showcased the Leap 2, a modular Aimpoint Micro-compatible red dot mount. It features the patented ClickDrive quick-detach system and maintains a lightweight profile at just 65 grams, significantly lighter than competing mounts.
Designed at a 2.26” minimum height, the Leap 2 supports future modular extensions, including flip-to-side magnifiers.
Updated Flip-to-Side Magnifier Mounts
The latest flip-to-side magnifier mounts have been redesigned for greater performance and weight savings:
- Lighter Design: The updated mounts are 20% lighter than previous models.
- Improved Detents: Users will notice even more positive detent engagement for added stability.
- Available Heights: Offered in 1.57” and 1.93” heights to accommodate various setups.

It features a patent-pending design that utilizes a ball detent force mechanism to lock securely in both stowed and deployed positions, effectively eliminating wobble and preventing accidental deployment.
Made in the USA from high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum and 17-4 PH stainless steel, the ALPHA Mount is built to withstand tough conditions.
For those using Nocturn Industries devices equipped with a powered shoe option, a factory variant with a powered shoe is available.
